DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in the area of Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders; and
  • Valid Arizona Speech/Language Pathologist certificate and Department of Health Services Speech Language Pathology license.

 

PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Screens and evaluates students with communication difficulties;
  • Plans and implements individual education plans for identified students;
  • Supervises Speech-Language Technicians, Assistants and special services paraprofessionals as needed under the guidance of the Principal;
  • Plans and delivers documented services;
  • Prepares all State, local and federal reports associated with student caseload;
  • Counsels parents and professional staff on communication disorder (s) impact (s) on students; and
  • Other duties as assigned.
