Rio Rico High School’s Nursing Assistant Program is looking to hire a Registered Nurse to instruct in the clinical setting. Job duties would include working with a group of 10 students in a nursing home setting where you would be managing their clinical experiences by matching them with a mentor, ensure that students are performing skills safely and accurately, evaluate student’s professional appearance, behavior, communication, and attendance, manage the relationship with the facility, complete the required assessment forms, and share professional knowledge with students as it relates to their clinical training. Must have long term care work experience.
The clinical hours will be for 8 weeks starting in February and ending in April with time off during spring break. There are only two clinical days each week: Friday’s 12:00 noon to 6:45 PM and Saturday’s 6:30 AM to 1:45 PM.
Requirements:
- Hold a current, unencumbered Arizona State issued license as a registered nurse
- Posses one or more of the following:
- Credit for a course on teaching adults
- One year of experience teaching adults
- One year of experience supervising nursing assistants
