SUMMARY: Under close supervision, assists in maintaining school safety by identifying potential problems regarding the welfare and security of students, personnel, and visitors and enforcing disciplinary policies and regulations.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Monitors students during passing periods, before/after school, lunch periods, assemblies, events and other group functions.
- Stands-by in classrooms, as needed, monitoring and controlling the classroom and students therein.
- Conducts student property and person searches as necessary or requested.
- Locks and unlocks classroom doors, walking gates, and driving gates. Escorts students, parents, and visitors.
- Directs traffic; prepares work orders; breaks up fights; enforces rules and dress code. Report violations of policies and regulations to site administration. Testifies at District disciplinary hearings, as required.
- Assists in fire drills and lock-down exercises.
- Attends mandatory meetings, including those for Positive Behavior Intervention and Support Program (PBIS) Committee.
- Completes other duties as assigned or required.
